Journal-specific licenses
Do not infer a Creative Commons or other license from the fact that content is freely accessible. The exact license applied to an article or journal should be stated explicitly and should reflect a formally adopted policy.
Author rights and reuse
Copyright ownership, license grants, permitted reuse and third-party material requirements should be explained in the journal’s author guidelines and article-level publication information.
Fees and waivers
Any article-processing charge, waiver or discount should be stated transparently. Fees should not influence editorial decisions. See Publisher Business Model & Fees.
