QES Academic Press aims to communicate publishing charges and service fees transparently. Any journal-specific article processing charge, waiver or discount should be displayed on the journal website before submission or before an author becomes financially committed.
Editorial independence from payment
Payment, institutional relationship or ability to pay must not determine whether a manuscript is accepted for publication. Editorial evaluation should remain separate from financial administration.
Journal charges
Each journal should state the exact amount of any author charge, the currency, what the charge covers, when payment is due, refund rules where relevant and the criteria for waivers or discounts.
Publishing services
Fees for publisher-level services or training should be agreed transparently before commitment and should not create a promise of manuscript acceptance, indexing, citation performance or third-party database inclusion.
