Misconduct Investigation
Fair handling of suspected research and publication misconduct
QES Academic Press publisher-level policy and guidance.
Assessment
Credible concerns should be documented and assessed by individuals without relevant conflicts. Authors should normally have an opportunity to respond to material allegations.
Institutional role
The publisher or journal may contact relevant institutions, funders or authorities where investigation requires information or authority beyond the journal’s remit.
Post-publication action
Corrections, expressions of concern or retractions should be considered according to the evidence and impact on the scholarly record.
