Retractions

Retraction principles for unreliable or seriously compromised published work

QES Academic Press publisher-level policy and guidance.

Publisher-level policyLast reviewed: September 2026

Grounds

Retraction may be appropriate when findings are unreliable because of major error or misconduct, publication is redundant without appropriate disclosure, research is unethical or other serious integrity failures make the article unsuitable to remain part of the scholarly record without a retraction notice.

Notice

Retraction notices should identify the article, state the reason for retraction to the extent appropriate, remain publicly accessible and be linked bidirectionally with the article.
